2020 World Champion Nuguri has officially returned to DWG KIA

Jang ‘Nuguri’ Ha-gwon, a top lane master in League of Legends, has officially returned to DWG KIA as the team starting toplaner for the 2022 LCK Summer Split

Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon has returned to LCK organization DWG KIA after a four-month break. His comeback first reported by Korizon Esports on April 8, was formally verified by DWG KIA’s socials, which welcomed him back. DWG KIA already has two top laners, Hoya and Burdol, who both participated in the 2022 LCK Spring split. Nonetheless, the veteran toplaner is expected to be promoted to the squad’s starting lineup in the following split.

Nuguri won the Worlds championship with DWG KIA following a dominant year with the team in 2020, before embarking on a new experience in the LPL.

FPX’s journey, however, ended prematurely at Worlds 2021 group stage, as they went 2-4 and placed last in their group. Following his Worlds loss, the player has opted to take a break from professional play, but he will be returning to this year LCK Summer.

DWG KIA roster for LCK Summer 2022

The 22-year-old, regarded as one of the best carry top laners in the world, has been severely missed in the LCK. The return of him will provide the team with a much-needed push to their LCK title; DWG KIA may now have that additional piece of the requirement to compete against Gen.G and T1 in this Summer. During the Spring playoffs, the team was defeated 2-3 in the semifinals by Gen.G, an indication of the difficulties that had plagued them throughout the split.

The squad will return for the LCK Summer 2022 season.
