3. Banned for abusing bugs
April 24th 2020, Riot’s parent company Tencent announced that they had banned over 3000 accounts. The reason those accounts got punished was abusing Ornn’s bug.
For more specific, players discovered that Ornn had a abusable bug that allowed player to globally deal damage with his W, including champions and monster.
It is pretty impressive when seeing a huge number of players got banned over one action. This incident came up with alot of conversation and argument, whether they should be banned OR not.
The defense here that Riot made an mistake of letting this champion be “broken”. Should a player be banned simply for using a tool that was given, he was not using hack nor third party program. But to be fair, you clearly know that abusing bugs is putting your opponents at an unfair disadvantage.
So if you going to abuse a bug that is clearly unfair, don’t be surprise when Riot ban you.
4. Being ban because playing against “Bug abuser”
In 2020, we have had a couple of broken bugs, coincidencely all of those bugs are globally damage. Specifically, those bugs allow some certain champions like Ornn, Poppy, Kayn, Illaoi.. etc ability to hit all enemies and jungle camsps from their base.
Surprisingly, people who abused bugs took Riot a long time to suspend them, but people who played against bug abuser got banned immediately due to “intentional feeding”
Imagine playing against bug abuser, you suffer for atleast 15 minutes, wasted your time in an unfair game and then get banned by Rito
Within a day after banned these innocent players, Riot had realized that they banned the wrong person and quickly fixed it. Those players were unbanned within a day
But i’m wondering that did they still keep their Honor level (when you are banned by Riot, you will lose all your Honor level).
5. Punished for playing strange strat and meta
Riot did banned a player for simply playing the game in the way that no one else was playing before
In 2016, a Singed main who play support role with “Smite”, this was obviously weird at the time but at present, it’s still weird. This player act were count as troll and he was oftenly reported by his teammates, except he was not actually trolling, he was trying his best.
This topic was go Viral at the time, some support his Singed support/Jungler but some did not. A very typical League drama.
I don’t think that’s the whole story.
They mention playing Singed support but counterjungling and no sightstone.
I’m guessing there isn’t a lot of support this Singed is giving to the team.

This is stupid, it clearly states in their rules/summoners code that they encourage you to play off meta picks.
“Everyone goes crazy when that pro picked MF support and built full ap and no sightstone and Riot didnt ban him – why threaten a singed for doing basically the exact same thing? Owait its cause he isnt a pro and therefore they dont have to bend a knee to him and can just ban him and not care” – Reddit user TheHaldir said
After so many reports, Riot essentially ask him to stop playing Singed support or else he would be at risk of being banned
Apparently, he has stopped playing Singed support with smite
