Yet another proof that Aphelios is totally unbalanced: by combining two weapons, he can attack enemies from anywhere without even getting close.
Hitting Anyone Anywhere on the Map while at Base
Most of Aphelios players know that:
Calibrum, the Rifle when equipped as his main-hand or off-hand weapon will have this passive:
“When abilities deal damage with Calibrum, they mark enemies hit. Aphelios can right-click marked enemies anywhere on the map to follow up with a basic attack from his off-hand weapon (or his non-Calibrum weapon, in cases where he swaps Calibrum to his off-hand before firing). This attack detonates other nearby marks for bonus damage against the marked targets.”
However, do you know that when we equip Crescendum, the Chakram as his main-hand weapon and Calibrum as his off-hand, we will have a combo of (Q) – Sentry that allows a turret that shoots the nearest target with Aphelios’s off-hand weapon from anywhere.
Therefore, many people believe that Calibrum‘s passive should have a limit on the attack on the marked target, instead of the entire map as it is now.
Others also pointed to the terrifying potential of Calibrum power in late-game and called for changes from Riot Games to nerf this ability.
In the video below, Aphelios almost shot a full health bar Lulu to death with this combo. Specifically, Aphelios placed a turret in the buses and then backed to Base. Then, Lulu with almost full Hp walked into the Aphelios’s turret’s rage and got shot.
After 3 auto-attacks from Aphelios at his Base, Lulu’s Hp decreased to 49Hp and almost killed her.
Have you ever had any ridiculous experience with Aphelios’s abilities?
