Owing to the current pandemic, this year the 2020 League of Legends World Championship would be somewhat different. Riot Games continues to commit to the show taking place in September, however, plenty of teams are willing to claim the Summoner’s Cup.
But first, teams must be qualified for a chance at Worlds. Many teams from different leagues across the world are lining up to get an opportunity to represent their country, but only a few could really do it. China and Europe will have four qualified teams for this year’s World Championship following the successful back-to-back years from both regions in previous LPL and LEC tournaments.
North America and Korea would each have the three typical teams, while Vietnam and the PCS will have two. The other wildcard regions would have one team at Worlds 2020.
