With the changes in the preseason 2023, it seems that any champion can be the jungler, and here’s why
In the preseason 2023, Riot Games has made many changes related to the role, the Summoner’s spell Smite, monster camps and even the comeback of Chemtech Drake… Especially the jungle role has been changed to become more flexible and easier to play for newbies with mechanisms such as suggested pathing, leash timings, and even how camps operate.
And, even though Smite can no longer heal you upon using it on camps, the healing effect from the preseason pets is more than enough for literately any champion to be completely healthy after a few camps.
Yuumi jungle single-handedly clear all camps in the preseason 2023
Specifically, a League of Legends YouTuber by the name Ydraël demonstrated how even a champion such as Yuumi can even handle the situation.
Of course, just by kiting and moving reasonably, Yuumi cannot have the speed to clear the whole jungle like other typical champions. Obviously clearing out the whole side of your jungle at the 4th minute mark must be called a lot slower than the majority.
However, when compared to season 12, Yuumi couldn’t even clear out the 3rd camps after finishing the Red buffs and the krugs, and ultimately died to the raptors.
As previously stated, most of the players felt Riot Games was overly focused on making the early game easy for any champion, regardless of skill level.
Unfortunately, the creators hope that these changes will encourage more new players to try out for the jungle role as part of their efforts to make the game more accessible. Given how complicated the jungle role is and how few players love playing it due to its difficulties, it makes sense.
