Arcane 2 is bringing back fans’ favorite dead character, actor revealed

One Arcane cast member said that a dead character from the popular Netflix series will return in some capacity when Season 2 premieres.

Despite the Zaunite drug lord Silco’s death in Arcane’s season one finale, the original series character—one of the few not drawn from the League of Legends roster—hasn’t entirely been forgotten.

And despite having passed away in the Season 1 end of the popular Netflix series, Silco, the Zaunite drug king, will return in Season 2, according to Arcane actor Jason Spisak.

Arcane voice actor revealed Silco coming back in Season 2

Spisak, who voices Arcane’s Silco, said on the Izuko Unscripted podcast that he had “recorded lines for Season 2,” despite his character being dead:

“Yeah, well, I’ve recorded lines for Season 2. They let me say it. Riot Games let me tell people. They said, ‘You can officially tell people that you have recorded lines for Season 2.’”

The writing, he said, was “incredible,” and he claimed that it actually assisted him in developing the character’s voice.  Spisak added that the voice of Silco was actually smoked. The voice, he said, was intended to envelope you and manipulate you.

“Well, first of all, the writing for that show is incredible. I keep saying that it’s the writer’s fault that I have the voices, but really, you have to look at the words that are being said, and the audition for Silco was the monologue from the beginning of Episode 3”

Of course, some people may be left perplexed after reading these words from Jason Spisak. Why is he recording dialogue for his Arcane character since that character was killed in the Season 1 finale?

Jix has been hearing voices in her head before. Vi, her father Vander, and a great number of others. Silco may be added to that list or she might only hear Silco at this point.

Despite being dead, Silco could yet make an appearance in Season 2 in the form of flashbacks or voices in Jinx’s head.

This would be a fantastic approach to maintain the ominous antagonist in the narrative and further emphasise the potentially irreparable effect he had on Jinx during the course of Season 1.

Arcane will likely make a comeback in 2024, according to Riot CEO Nicolo Laurent, who stated the sequel series “is not going to be this year.”
