Geoff Keighley, who hosts and created the annual awards ceremony known as The Game Awards, has announced that Arcane, the League of Legends animated series, has won Best Adaptation.
According to the TGA website, the Best Adaptation category honors works that “faithfully and authentically adapt a video game to another entertainment media.”
Arcane defeated The Cuphead Show and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners!, Uncharted, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and took home the prized trophy.

The award was accepted on behalf of the cast and crew of the show by Arcane co-creator Alex Yee.
Being recognized by the video game community is a tremendous honor, he remarked. It took a very long time to get here.
He continued by giving praise to Riot Games, Netflix, and Fortiche Productions.
After winning every category it was nominated for at the Emmys and Annie Awards, the TGA is the most recent organization to acknowledge the show’s excellence. It also created history by becoming the first streaming program to win Outstanding Animated Program at The Emmys.
League of Legends, the company’s most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, has a television version called Arcane. The story of Jinx and Vi, two League of Legends champions, is the main subject of the show. It centers on how they were raised in Piltover and how they finally rose to fame as well-known champions.
