Overexposure to suggestive content from female streamers can be detrimental to one’s mental health.
A 56-page long lawsuit, which also contains an exhaustive list of popular female streamers that supposedly ruined his psychological well being, was submitted to the local court by Erik Estavillo – the titular Californian plantiff. He complained that he was afflicted with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), panic disorder, agoraphobia, and Crohn’s disease, all thanks to his over-reliance on the Internet for leisure.
He specially targetted Twitch – a universally renowned streaming platform – for permitting those abhorrent explicit images to pop up regularly in his Twitch recommendation, mesmerizing him into a neverending cycle of addiction, losing control over his own psyche.
Erik also mentioned that he had been following 786 female streamers and was unable to access the platform without taking a glance at those erotic imaginery. He also accused Twitch of repeatedly recommending him Twitch channels with the same content of female streamers performing venereal acts in their profile pictures and video thumbnails. One can recognize several “household names” within the list inside his complaint. Pokimane and Alinity also made an apperance as some of his “psychological tormentors”.
Furthermore, Erik requested Twitch to permanently ban all female streamers within the aforementioned list. In addition, 25 million USD, if successfully sued, will be equally divided among him and Twitch’s supposed victims, along with an unspecified amount for charity.
Whether Twitch should be concerned with such trivial complaint coming out of the blue or not, it should be noted that this is not the first time Erik Estavillo conjured such a preposterous demand. He did file several lawsuits before, against many well-known gaming brands, such as Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, even Blizzard Entertainment, and has never accomplished his deeds once.
