Breaking News: Formal Cloud9 Eclipse pro player Lam “k0u” Tinh Tri Passed Away Last Sunday December 1, 2019 Due to Depression

Lam “k0u” Tinh Tri was a League of Legends esport player, previously jungler for Face Revolution. 

Sadly, he was successfully attempted suicide for the second time last Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the age of 22. 

It is believed the reason behind this was his mental illness. He shared on his social medias not so long ago that he failed his first-time commit suicide about a month ago. 

On November 12, 2019, his social media accounts posted a link to a lengthy blog post, in which k0u revealed that he was planning to commit suicide. His accounts subsequently posted that the attempt had failed, but on December 1st, 2019, he passed away.

K0u’s Biography

K0u’s real name is Lam Tinh Tri. He was born in Norway, September 28, 1997.

According to his blog, his re-named himself as Kenneth Dawnix. He stated: “Dawnix was a last name I came up with by myself more than half a year ago. 

Dawn = Beginning.

Nix stands for phoenix which means rebirth/reincarnation. 

How ironic…”

K0u’s Journey as A Pro-Player

K0u joined his first competitive team, Benched Gaming in Season 3 and won cups #147 and #148 of ESL Go4LoL EUW in June 2013. Summer 2013, after losing to Millenium the tournament’s final, He left the team, and joined SUPA HOT CREW a couple of months later.

At the start of Season 4, K0u joined newly formed Cloud 9 Eclipse at the start of the season. The team ended up winning Challenger Spring #1 at the SCAN EUW Winter Invitational. Despite their success, k0u decided to leave the team at this point. However, a month later, k0u rejoined the team, and went on to win several tournaments on the run. 

The first of these was Week 20 of the EUW Challenger Series. Next up was the 2014 Black Monster Cup Europe – Spring.  The team also won International Invitational Tournament 3, beating Dark Passage in the final.  Finally, k0u and the team also participated in the EUCS Spring Playoff. Yet, k0u left the team once again.

Not so long later, k0u went to join Gamers2. 

In 2015 Season, after several lost in the 2014 EUCS Summer Playoffs, the 2015 Expansion Tournament, k0u decided to leave the team. After the second week of the NACS Summer Season, k0u joined Vortex, becoming the team’s 3rd jungler in as many weeks. 

2016 Season, k0u joined Giants Gaming for the EU LCS 2016 Spring. However, he was replaced by BetongJocke and released after Giants lost their first four games of the season. He then joined Copenhagen Wolves in the EUCCS for their last series of the Spring Season. 

After Copenhagen Wolves disbanded and k0u returned to North America to play for Nova eSports in the NA Challenger Series. 

n October 2016, k0u left the team and joined the Turkish team Dark Passage and helped them to qualify for IEM Season 11 Gyeonggi as a wildcard team.

In Season 7, k0u remained in Turkey and joined new TCL team Galakticos. After the Summer Split, he left the team and immediately joined another Turkish team, P3P eSport. However, the team lost by the end of the season and the promotion tournament. 

After k0u left P3P, he played sparingly on Norwegian teams throughout 2018 and 2019.
