Milio, League of Legends’ newest enchanter, has joined the fight as the game’s next support champion, armed with a healing flame.
Milio’s ability set appears to be reasonably simple for low-rank players to master, with healing, cleansing, boosting, and so on. Because he is played as a conventional enchanter support, his build is simple if you want to offer the most healing and shielding to your team. Here’s how to build the Gentle Flame for League of Legends Season 13.

Runes
Realistically, the best build and rune page may have yet to be discovered, as not everyone has access to the PBE to try him out. But from our understanding, this is the ideal rune path for Milio currently.
Milio will be dealing out a lot of poke in addition to mending and shielding, so Aery is a fantastic rune that will help improve his overall arsenal. His early game will be extremely powerful because he can heal and protect his AD carry while also increasing their trading potential by expanding their attack range.
In addition, Manaflow Band and Scorch should also aid him in poking the enemy and maintaining efficient mana cost in the laning phase.
For the secondary rune page, Inspiration with Biscuit Delivery and Cosmic Insight is best for Milio. These biscuits can save your life if you make a poor deal early in the game because you can chomp on them instead of having to return to base and squander valuable time and experience. The extra item and summoner spell haste should be helpful for any champion, but particularly for Milio, who has only Flash and Exhaust as escape options.
Items
With so much healing and protecting power, it only makes sense to boost and maximise that power with Moonstone Renewer and Staff of Flowing Water. Both items will significantly increase Milio’s healing, particularly in the later phases of the game, while Ardent Censer is an excellent option for a support who increases the attack range of his own AD carry.
You can never have enough healing, and Redemption not only provides an almost immediate Aoe effect, but it also increases Milio’s healing and shielding ability by 10%.
And, while he has his Breath of Life ultimate to rid his allies of crowd control, it has a rather lengthy cooldown once used. As a result, Mikael’s Blessing is a decent option for when a teammate is taken off guard, but using Milio’s ultimate on a single individual may be risky.
Quick tips
Let’s go over some quick tips and guidelines to help you get started with the newest Summoners Rift champ.
- Focus on auto-attacking rather than using your Q early on, as your Q is your primary defensive weapon and will assist you in countering ganks and all-ins.
- In the early landing phase, avoid using your E to defend your ADC from attacks; the mana cost is significant, so only use it to stop abilities.
- When fighting, stay behind all of your teammates so that you are not the primary target of their CC in team battles. If you’re CC’d, you can’t use your Ultimate to save them
That concludes our basic guide to playing Milio as soon as Patch 13.6 is released. Until then, more detailed guides and build paths should be available.
