Caps was really good, but Faker’s fans were better…
Maybe BMW – one of the most well-known car brands in the world, is no longer too strange for us nowadays. In order to expand their influence, so far, they have co-operated and become the donors of a lot of famous LoL team, such as G2 Esports, T1, Funplus Phoenix, Cloud9 and Fnatic.
For sure, they do not sponsor them for free. They have been creating a lot of programmes and challenges for LoL players so as to get more attention from the community. One of those was “BMW’s Perfect KDA Challenge”, which means players of teams sponsored by BMW would have to try to have as many perfect games (no deaths) as possible.
The lastest guy who had just finished this challenge was G2 Caps. This would not become a huge story if he didn’t challenge Faker in his Tweet posted 2 days ago to announce his challenge result (T1 is also sponsored by BMW). Basically, Caps has always been a Faker’s fan, colleague so that he was probably just kidding in his Tweet, but unlucky for him, some of Faker’s fans did not think like that…
If you still do not realize, almost every team sponsored by BMW had extremely bad results last week. G2 didn’t win any matches, Cloud9 was beaten by Evil Geniuses, Funplus Phoenix lost against Rogue Warrior and of course, T1 was not an exception as they received a defeat against Gen.G.
Fnatic was the only one whose better results, but unfortunately, they had previously lost a lot. A gamer jokingly said that BMW is literally a curse, which is keeping the tickets for play-offs out from G2, Fnatic and Funplus Phoenix’s hands. T1 is still staying in 4th place but they are now 2 points lower than the 3rd place team. Cloud9 seems to be “not much influenced by the curse” when they are staying in 1st place of LCS, but not invincible anymore…
Now let’s return to the challenge of BMW. We will have to wait to see whether or not Faker will accept this challenge of Caps. With his 8-year experience, having perfect games seems to be quite easy for Faker as we have already known, Faker has 3 World Championships but zero for Caps.
