CEO of T1 ‘roasts’ Cloud9 for releasing LS out of the team

Joe Marsh, T1 CEO, recently made fun of Cloud9’s justification for Nick “LS” DeCesare’s release

LS streamed the LCK and was joined for part of it by Joe Marsh after returning to Korea just weeks after landing in NA to coach Cloud9’s LCS lineup. 

LS was watching the LCK English stream backstage lobby during the postgame talk for T1’s match vs DWG KIA. During the broadcast, T1 CEO seized the opportunity to poke fun at the esports organization’s decision. Joe Marsh decided it was an appropriate time to ‘roast’ Cloud9 for its decision to release the coach, as well as take aim at the organization’s confusing explanation.

The postgame lobby for the LCK English cast was partially lighted by stage lights, prompting Joe Marsh to say, “They need better lighting for this set. We must call Cloud9. Too many shadows.”

This is a reference to both the Cloud9 video statement on the releasing LS, which fans said was well-lit but not particularly informative and the meaning of LS’ nickname, Last Shadow. LS answered in the best manner by laughing it off without saying anything.

“I would love to hear more about the systems that are in place that get you zero world championships.” Joe Marsh continued.
