Finally, just right before I hate chat in the game.
Riot will continue to adjust the Legends of League in-game chat over the next few updates, it confirmed recently.
Senior experience designer Jordan Checkman detailed a variety of improvements in Patches 11.1 and 11.2 that could greatly enhance player experience. This was meant to be made for the fans that are happier with the old chat and are failing to adapt to the “unintuitive” changes, as some players argued on Reddit last month.
Patch 11.1 will add some changes to Drag Select. And the annoying end of the game double-enter bug will eventually be addressed in 11.2, along with several scaling adjustments to optimize resolution.
As for players struggling to type when moving their champion, Checkman says it’s on Riot’s list. Yet there is no scheduled fix available yet. This will encourage players to type in after right-clicking on the Rift to navigate their movements.
Checkman’s extensive chat tweaks are unofficial, though, and “subject to change.” With Patch 11.1 set for release on Jan. 6, players will soon find out what’s in the plan for the season’s start.
