The Broken Covenant LoL Skin Showcase was a complete catastrophe on global servers, but seeing what Riot Games and Tencent placed on the Chinese Server has only added to the community’s anger.

The Broken Covenant skin line was undoubtedly one of the year’s most anticipated skin lines. But everything went apart when Riot revealed that the new skin line would not be accompanied by an event. We didn’t just lose out on an event, but we also missed out on the free missions that come with most skin lines.

But it appears that Riot’s efforts have been in vain, as the Broken Covenant event has sparked yet another controversy. It all began when players discovered that only the worldwide servers received no Broken Covenant event, whereas the Chinese servers received a complete event.

Riot and Tencent have put on a fantastic event for the Chinese server, while global players have yet to receive their free missions or rewards for the Broken Covenant Skin Showcase. Riot has also released an exclusive artwork of Broken Covenant Prestige Miss Fortune, which you can see above, as well as a very unique battle pass with numerous levels to achieve.

According to BigBadBear’s clip, there are 75 levels in total in the Chinese Battle Pass, with three distinct categories. Loot varies depending on which battle pass the player purchases.

However, the event does not stop there; players can also obtain unique loot from the battle pass. The loot crates are aesthetically different, and some even contain prestige skins. The event also includes exclusive loot drops and a second event with a gacha system and more prizes, all of which are earned for free by merely playing League of Legends.

Many players are rightly outraged at Riot after discovering all of this information. It’s not reasonable that only players on the Global server are ignored while the servers are running, while Tencent receives superior rewards and experiences. Riot, hopefully, will handle this issue once more and will not deprive worldwide players of such events.
