If you notice, in the latest Patch of 10.11, the interface in the LoL client has been upgraded to become neater with items such as Profiles, Collections … completely separated.

This change will help give the client a lot of space for Riot Games to be able to add other items to the game in the future.
However, the satisfaction of gamers is not seen yet but the client error is gone. A lot of gamers have posted complaints about the phenomenon of LoL Client suddenly “black screen”.

1. League client 2020:
Decide to play some league, click league icon….. nothing happens click again, client pops up this time. It loads up and OOPS, no friends list. Exit and try again. Open league again, client loads in with friends list, 3rd times the charm! Get notification that my friend opened a gift I sent him back in april, it’s very nice that the client reminds me of my generosity every day for a month and a half.
Another notification, club invite, I’ve accepted it 18 times now but maybe clicking accept this 19th time will satisfy the client. Decide to check my loot tab, nothing loads in, welp guess I don’t really need that stuff anyway. Jump into queue and get into champ select, can’t click anything,dodge penalty oh well I can just try again in 5 minutes.
Try again and make it into the game this time. Game ends, get out of the game and the client crashes, no honor for anyone I guess!
2. I don’t record my screen, so unfortunately I have no proof this happened. But I queued up for ARAM the other day, queue popped, I clicked accept, then alt-tabbed back to reddit to wait for the champ-select noise. After a couple minutes, I realized the noise never came. Swapping back to the client, I see that it’s stuck on the “accepted” pop-up. I figure “well, it must have made me dodge, may as well close the client and see how long the timer is” (I had already dodged earlier in the day due to real life stuff popping up).
Well, after I run the program as an admin (if I close the client and try to reopen too quickly, then it won’t reopen again unless being run as admin), I suddenly load into the game. No champ select, no dodge, just in the game. Someone complains in all-chat about how long it took to load in, and I’m just sitting there on Darius with Arcane Comet and no snowball since I never got to change those in champ select. Top notch client.
3. Right now I have multiple recurring client problems. I cant play TFT if I did any other action before. The screen doesnt load if it isnt the first thing I do after starting the Client. After every game the Honor screen is bugged. I cant buy anything after getting RP. I need to restart the Client before. This thing is so old that I thought that this is somehow intended.
Im a big spender, but I wont buy anything until this is fixed. I have all skins for my main so I already dont need more. They need to see that this shitty client costs them money. Right now they can just ignore it.
Seriously Riot needs to fire some client developers. I’ve never seen the game client being this bad after years of service.
- I think it’s a problem of what they did before, when the launcher got released. It must have been programmed in a very shitty way and now every time they try to implement something new, something else breaks. We are probably reaching the point where every function is bugging each other for N reasons and the team hired by riot in the last year to fix the client is either incompetent or they can’t immediately fix the whole shit client they have right now and it will take ages to get fixed.
- This is my take on the client issues , and i think there is no other explanation. Because if there is, probably there is something wrong in the current client developer team and someone should lose his job.
- If they are in the situation I described, where the previous developers did too much shit, i suggest to create a completely new client, maybe a working one this time, that doesn’t require you to relog every single time you click somewhere because everywhere you click something falls apart
I logged in two days ago to find all my accounts region locked due to them being region swapped to South Korea (I’m a NA player) with an age restriction. There is no way for me to update or change this myself so I had to wait over 24 hours to get a response through a ticket I submitted. This was just one account out of the many I will have to go in and individually submit a ticket for. lol wut
