Darius is well known for being capable of outputting enormous damage. With this build, you will be able to run through the battlefield and slash any enemy you find.
Due to the changes that Riot made to shop and items in Preseason 2021, your champion would behave a completely different way depending on what Mythic did you choose. This opportunity opens up tons of variety of playstyles that you can try out to see what fit you the most.
Traditionally, when you consider Darius as a top laner, in previous Seasons, he will still obviously be a tanky guy, with half damage/half tank items, and lack of mobility to engage the enemy’s backline. Now, things have changed, with the build that “RhokuTV” uploaded on Youtube, in his hand, Darius became a slaughter machine.
Why Darktharr?
When thinking about the reasons why Darius should pursuit this playstyle when you can just go for a tanky Darius and have a casual, common match is that he is extremely easy to proc Duskblade of Darktharr:
- +20 Ability Haste.
- +55 Attack Damage.
- +18 Lethality.
- Nightstalker: Basic attacking an enemy champion deals 100 (+ 30% bonus AD) bonus physical damage on-hit and slows them by 99% for 0.25 seconds (15 second cooldown). Champion takedowns within 3 seconds reset this effect’s cooldown and grant you invisibility for 1.5 seconds.
- Mythic Passive: Empowers your other Legendary items with 5 ability haste.
The problem with Darktharr’s Nightstalker passive is that you actually have to be the one who finishes off and gets that kill in order to activate it. Who’s better at kill steal than Darius? Not only he is incredibly annoying while in Stealth mode, but he will also get his Passive – Noxian Might ready to prepare for another kill.
Combining with other Lethality items such as Edge of Night, Youumu’s Ghostblade, Serylda’s Grudge, and Serpent’s Fang. Darius will legitimately become an Assassin in the battlefield.
Of course, the disadvantages of this build are the fact that you have to trade off some of your tankiness to deal more damage. So please consider using it properly, remember to engage at close-gap is the key, and the ability to dodge skill shots that are coming at you is essential.
