Doublelift talked about inviting Palette or SwordArt into Team SoloMid after his retirement in November 2020.

Doublelift worried about the language barriers when playing with Palette.

One of the best ADC in League of Legends history – Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng has recently retired. After his retirement, he is quite comfortable telling stories about his career. He spent his recent time streaming and just talking with his fan and viewer. He also disclosed that he had been invited to SKT T1 recently.

Over a decade, Doublelift was always a star in the League of Legends field in North America. He played for Counter Logic Gaming, Team Liquid, and Team SoloMid. This 27 years old pro-player ended his career quietly but, however, there are many stories after it. Before his retirement announcement, TSM said to him that they had failed to invite Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh.

However, Team SoloMid signed a contract worth 6 millions Dollar with SwordArt just a few days after the leaving of Doublelift.

While streaming on Twtich, Doublelift said that this contract with SwordArt had been confirmed, but there had been some problems in negotiation.

Doublelift talked about this contract on his livestream.

TSM chose Nguyen “Palette” Hai Trung of Team Flash as a plan B, but Doublelift did not totally agree with that. He knew that Palette was an amazing player but language barriers will make it harder to teamwork with him. Despite the fact that he is a good Vietnamese support player, his English is not really good enough in order to play for a foreign team.
