DRX announces new roster for 2023 season

Reigning Worlds champion DRX has revealed its lineup for 2023. Only support BeryL stays from the previous lineup.

DRX continues to follow its previous success recipe

The new squad’s composition is similar to the Worlds 2022 roster: experienced, lesser-known players with skills and potential. Part of this is probably due to them not being a big org: it’s noted that they earned no transfer fees from their 4 champions’ departures as their contracts simply expired after Worlds.

But that approach has worked out once for them, why not do it again?

Official DRX 2023 lineup:

Micro joins as head coach, while Shine continues as coach for the team.

DRX and DWG essentially traded their bot laners as deokdam and Deft fill in the position between the 2 teams.

Per community’s initial reactions, the new team is similar to the previous, with the most obvious improvement on the top lane. We will have to wait until LCK Spring season kicks off to see how this roster does and whether they can fill in the pretty big shoes of Worlds champs.

Team Liquid recently announced that ex-DRX Pyosik will be part of their 2023 roster.
