EDG Leave is rumored to have been replaced by Uzi (of RNG fame) after allegedly soliciting prostitution and using alt accounts in pubs to flame his Jungler JieJie

It has not been a good year for former Worlds champion EDward Gaming. After placing 5-8th at Worlds 2022, the team parted ways with their star ADC Viper and promoted Hu ‘Leave’ Hong-Chao from their academy roster. The team fared decently during LPL Spring group stage placing 2nd, but ended up losing to Bilibili Gaming 2-3 in the playoffs and with it a spot at MSI 2023.

EDG did not manage to shake off the bad form after spring break and are currently 1-2 in series in Summer split. As such, a roster change is due. EDG promoted another academy ADC to the main roster, Kang ‘Thesnake’ Guang, on June 8th. Ex-Bilibili ADC Uzi was also rumored to be a potential replacement.

Leave recently got into a prostitution scandal after his girlfriend (now ex) exposed him of paying for sex while they were still in a relationship. It’s debatable whether prostitution or paying for it is wrong, however soliciting prostitutes is illegal in China and Leave may have to go to jail if guilty.

Additionally it was also alleged that Leave had been using alternate accounts to flame his jungler and EDG teammate JieJie in pubs. These allegations, if true, would be despicable both morally and professionally.

Getting flamed even after winning Worlds, such is Jungler life 🙁
