Allegations against Evil Geniuses originated from Caedrel’s stream
On Friday December 2nd, Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont showed a screenshot of messages from Jaclyn on his stream, presumed to be Danny’s sister. She claimed that Evil Geniuses’ public image had been misleading and that the org goes out of their way to silent people who’d say otherwise. Their laning coach was allegedly fired for standing up for Danny and going to the players’ association for him.
Their CEO has since responded to the accusations on twitter
Nicole dismisses the allegations as “untrue and completely unfounded” and described them as “pretty disappointing and shocking”. She reiterates that the org always puts players first and that she personally made sure that the players and their family are taken care of
The CEO had initiated a 3rd party investigation from into the organization’s LCS operations.
The whole ordeal started when Danny took a break from competitive LoL to focus on his health after a mental breakdown during a tight 3-2 series between Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid that saw them qualify to Worlds 2022. He was then replaced by Kaori for the rest of the playoffs and at Worlds.
