T1 seem want to “avenge” for Faker because of his absence in the last year’ nominee pool.
In the past, everytime his name appeares in any poll, fans always votes for Demon King Faker enthusiastically. Typically in annual All-star nomination, in Korea Faker always dominates other competitors. This points out the fervor and number of Faker’ fans in Korea are enormous.
Until today, Faker’ name has showed up in a international nomination, T1 representative also posted on Facebook and Twitter calling fans to vote for beloved “part-owner” of T1 in order to win the title Esports Personality of The Year in Esports Awards 2020.
About Esports Awards, this is the biggest annual nomination in international Esports community includes many categories such as Streamer, Esports Content Creator, Esports Mobile Game,…and Faker is one of many nominees who have set foot in the pool of Esports Personality of The Year. In this category, Faker’ “opponent” will be Sjokz, Froskurinn, Fallen, Nadeshot, Dr Lupo, Goldenboy, Ocelote, and HECZ. Among them, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag is the major contender who was also the winner of this category in 2019 nomination.
This year, T1 want to help Faker “to take revenge” for his nonappearence in any of the categories of Esports Awards 2019. Besides that, Faker is one of a few number of professtional gamers make a appearence in the list, therefore not only Faker’ fans vote for him but also League of Legends’ fans cherish for him.
