A new fan-made Leauge champion: Batu – The Tiger Spirit.
Recently, the international League community has shared thoughts and positive feedback on the newest fan-made champion project by the artist Corey Shillingford. The project is called Batu – The Tiger Spirit.
According to Corey, Batu is a Spirit Master (similar to Udyr or Lee Sin), however, unlike others who train with many spirits, he only mastered Koshin – a wind tiger spirit.
Batu’s abilities are currently incomplete and are only described very briefly:
Q – Wide area damage.
W – Damage + dash to the target location.
E – Shield
R – Summons the tiger spirit Koshi and increases his power.
The abilities of this champion in general, haven’t had any highlights, but the design’s appeal largely comes from the concept of character shaping and building. In some aspects, Batu is a champion that is worth experiencing, with a martial-style design, gentle and strong martial arts effects. And the point is being able to summon a tiger to fight with that make Batu cooler.
Unlike Udyr – who can manipulate spirit powers and transformed into them or Lee Sin – the one who used the dragon spirit’s power in martial arts, Batu’s tiger spirit possessed an exceptionally strong power when it can turn into different weapons to support the combat for its master.
Corey Shillingford’s concept is generally quite adventurous and unique, but his work needs a more detailed and technical kit in order to fully express the champion’s spirit, deepening and exploiting the transformability of the tiger spirit Koshin. This means that if the skill set corresponds to the plot, Batu will own the most number of abilities in League of Legends, otherwise, it will be as complicated as other 5-star difficulty champions.
