Wang-ho “Peanut” Han tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the jungler has already been forced to self-quarantine and will mostly miss the next 2022 LCK Spring Split match with T1.

After coming in touch with Peanut, support player Si-woo “Lehends” Son and head coach Dong-bin “Score” Ko have both been placed on self-quarantine for 10 days.

These are the official announcements from the LCK after reviewing the situation in the team.  As a result, Gen.G was forced to bring in two players from their Academy as substitutes. Joon-hyeong “Lospa” Park has already been brought in to fill in for Lehends. Woo “Winner” Joo-sung will also replace Peanut.

Despite the fact that Gen.G still has Chovy as their carry, it is apparent that the team’s strength has been considerably decreased. As a result, the major match in the first split of LCK Spring 2022 versus T1 is projected to be significantly less appealing.

T1 has won 7 consecutive matches this season, and Gen.G is thought to be the team most likely to defeat Faker and his teammates. However, given the current scenario, the chances of them prevailing have fallen significantly.

The COVID-19 situation has worsened once again, and LCK teams have begun to suffer. Recently, teams like DRX and Nongshim RedForce have lost their mainstays due to positive cases, forcing them to patch up the roster with bench players. Not only Gen.G fans; but T1 fans is also disappointed that their team was unable to have a full-force match. The match between Gen.G and T1 will take place on February 12.
