Henry Cavill has confessed that he has not only been watching Netflix’s Arcane, but has also persuaded his partner to stay up late to watch it with him.
Henry Cavill is a busy actor. He just completed the Netflix film Enola Holmes 2 and reprised his role as Superman in the DC films. But even he enjoys a good time every now and then like he did when he began watching the League of Legends animated series Arcane.
In an interview on BBC Radio 1, presenter Ali Plumb promptly follows up on his previous suggestion of Arcane. Cavill has nothing but positive things to say about the Netflix animated series that depicts the narrative of Piltover and Zaun.
“I’m so glad you told me, and when you said I went home immediately, and I was like ‘Right Natalie, I was told by this guy at work that I should watch Arcane”
“She was like ‘Oh, I’ve heard some good things about it’, and I couldn’t stop watching it,”
He continued to explain that he and his girlfriend relapsed Arcane, and when she recommended they finally go to bed, Cavill continued watching.
Cavill went on to express his gratitude for the advice, saying that he would have lost out otherwise. Netflix shows come and go quickly, and it’s easy to overlook the hits, even big ones like Arcane.
There’s no word on whether Cavill’s love for the TV show has encouraged him to play League, but considering his fascination with other refined titles and lore-heavy games, it’s not a stretch to believe he could.
In any case, we appreciate Cavill’s ongoing efforts to persuade directors to let him perform increasingly nerdy things. And who knows what else? Maybe one of these days we’ll see Superman on the Rift.
