With Arcane Season 2 just around the corner, Riot Games has added an exclusive “What is This?” emote for players to earn in League of Legends.
In 2021, Riot released Arcane, a Netflix series centered on the story of Piltover and Zaun, bringing champions like Vi, Jinx, Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger to life.
The series was an instant success and still holds a flawless critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. To celebrate the show’s launch, Riot hosted several in-game and cross-game events, where players could complete missions to earn free Arcane-themed skins for champions including Jayce, Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn.
Given the popularity of Season 1, Riot quickly confirmed that a second season was in development. Earlier this year, Riot announced that Season 2 would arrive at the end of 2024 and would be the final installment of the series.
To celebrate the premiere of Arcane Season 2, Riot Games will be co-streaming the first episode on their official Twitch channel. During this broadcast, players can also unlock the exclusive “What is This?” emote by watching along. Here’s a quick guide on how to claim it.
