Janna Smite top has been a popular choice in League of Legends patch 12.2. She has now made her entrance to the LCS as FlyQuest picked her in the second game of the 2022 LCS Spring versus CLG. Janna Smite Top was picked as the team’s first selection on the red side by FlyQuest top laner Kumo in the first rotation.

The matchup was odd as she was seen in the top lane in a pro tournament. FlyQuest had an early advantage, but CLG pushed deep into their opponent’s base, reaching the Nexus towers before the 30-minute mark. FlyQuest had several ways to end the game sooner, to the position where CLG left their Nexus entirely open in order to capture the Elder Dragon.

When the combat broke out near Baron and Toucouille demolished the Nexus, FlyQuest called the game and ended at 47 minutes. After the game, FlyQuest’s top laner Kumo had only 1 kill, 2 deaths, but 17 assists. While his KDA numbers aren’t the best, he does have the potential to declare he is undefeated and pretty much useful with Janna at the helm.

According to U.GG, Janna has remained a steady win rate at high Elo and continues to grow, more specifically, she now has 58.64% win rate and has reached rank 1 as a top laner.

Even though her debut was spectacular, this is not the first competitive Janna Top game. Dreedy, Barcelona’s top laner, chose the enchanter in the top lane with Smite. The Janna selection put Barcelona far down, but they finally rallied and won. Janna is yet to be defeated in the competitive tournament, and with the mini-rework she recently got, along with the start of a season, this might be the beginnings of a new meta for top lane in the near future.

All in all, the meta seems promising, but with the recent announcement of Riot Games nerfing Enchanter top, players shouldn’t have such high expectations.
