Coach kkOma has officially resigned from Korea’s League of Legends squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2022, following a controversial press conference
In recent days, the public attention of Korea, in particular, has been embroiled in a great deal of controversy as a result of the selection of the squad for the Asian Games 2022. LCK is being noted at this Asian Games since it may be the last time Faker gets the opportunity to compete in an Asian Games. Furthermore, this is the moment when LCK is at its peak, with T1 owning an invincible record from the LCK Spring Split. And, without a doubt, many League of Legends fans believe Korea will win the gold medal.
However, the region’s circumstances aren’t looking so well. Coach KkOma has informed KeSPA (Korea Esports Association) of his intention to resign. However, there is no definitive evidence that the coach would skip the Asian Games because KeSPA expects to meet with him again over the weekend.
On April 21, kkOma criticized the bad decision to conduct an exhibition match, which was eventually canceled. Due to changes from the Asian Electronic Sports Federation’s (AESF) schedule, tryouts for the League team’s starting lineup were supposed to take place in April.
This time around, with Faker at his top form, many fans anticipate him to bring the gold medal to the Korean League of Legends, while also confirming the quality of LCK in comparison to LPL. However, given the current circumstances, Faker, or any other LCK players, is not in a good position.
The Asian Games 2022 are set to take place from September 10 to September 25.
