Can T1 break their own unbeatable record in the next game of LCK Spring 2022?
T1 won their 14th game against KT Rolster by a score of 2-0. T1 now has 14 straight wins in the LCK without losing a single game, tying the existing record established by the team itself in 2015.
In the first match, T1 played their lane aggressively, establishing a huge lead in order to secure objectives and towers. Both teams relied heavily on midgame team fights and swapped kills. KT won the team fight before the third dragon, and their lead grew to capture the Baron buff. T1 negated their position by assuring excellent team fights in order to re-enter the battle and capture several picks in the late game. With a numerical advantage and a long death cooldown at the end of the match, T1 took advantage of the chance to end it.
Onto the next match, KT Rolster gained advantages when they secure the first blood on Zeus. However, T1 wasn’t far behind later on as they continue to swap kills and secure important objectives.
Then, at around the 27-minute mark, KT caught T1 by surprise in a 5vs4 team fight at the Baron side. With no Faker in the combat, KT easily took down Oner and went on chasing down the rest of T1. However, T1 easily turned the situation around and started gaining advantages, and the team appeared different afterward. At 33 minutes, T1 won another team fight which lead them to win the match.
SK Telecom T1 had a history of being one of the most accomplished League of Legends esports teams, having won 3 World Championships, 2 Mid-Season Invitationals, and multiple LCK splits. Week 7 of the LCK Spring Split 2022 concludes with this match and T1 is one game away of breaking their record since 2015.
