LCK’s ShowMaker says LEC botlanes aren’t good enough for professionals standard

It’s not uncommon for professional League of Legends players to argue against each other. After all, League of Legends’ professional players are among the most competitive league. As a result, even more competition develops, particularly when players made disparaging remarks about each other.

G2 Mikyx comments on LCK botlaners, ShowMaker strikes back

Mikyx is probably one of the top support players in the world, and he’s been with G2 Esports for a long time. When questioned about the correlation between the top three regions of the global League of Legends: LCK, LPL, and LEC a few days ago, Mikyx made a stunning comment.

“I feel LCK bot lanes are worse than the LEC and LPL ones. I wasn’t very impressed by anyone there. I think some of the LPL bot lanes are pretty good. I think in Europe you also have some really good bot lanes. So I feel like they’re a bit behind.”

This opinion is really controversial because many people think that the bot lane pairs in the LCK this season are still very noticeable, and the assumption that these duos are weaker than the LEC is unfounded. And recently, ShowMaker rebutted Mikyx’s opinion.

“Well, maybe the LCK could be behind the LPL, but I think we’re better than the LEC. I don’t evaluate LEC that high. It might be worth comparing LCK bot lanes to the LPL, but with the LEC… There aren’t many teams that stand out. Maybe Rogue or Misfits? I don’t think they’re that good.”

These comparisons, however, are merely theoretical at this time; fans and players will have to wait until Worlds later this year to discover who has the better opinion. With these early “interview” displays, the battle between the LCK and LEC teams will certainly be much more exciting.
