New voice lines for Nidalee, whose was recently introduced to League of Legends, have hinted at information about the upcoming new champions
The names, broad themes, and some information about the upcoming two League of Legends champions have already been made public. One is a Milio, an Ixtali supporter, and the other is Naafiri, a Darkin assassin. We already know a little bit about each of them, but Nidalee’s new voice lines have recently undergone an update that has revealed new information.
Nidalee’s new voice line teased Milio and Naafiri
The lore of Nidalee, an Ixtali shapeshifter, has not kept up with the expansion of the game’s newest area. Ixtal is also home to Milio, an upcoming male enchanter who uses fire. With Milio joining League of Legends, Nidalee’s voiceover has received a minor update to include new lines with two champions that have not yet been published in addition to two current ones.
Nidalee says, “Little Firebug, our Pakiti trust you, but they are naive,” during an interaction in the new lines. Milio, who has been very specifically characterized as an elemental magic user making the journey through Ixtal to reach its capital, is almost definitely the subject of this talk.
With Naafiri, Nidalee responds with “Ha! Dog-beast, I will show you what it means to be a pack mother!” In addition, she has a quip for when she kills Naafiri, “Dogs? Really, Naafiri?”
This even better verifies what Riot Games had already strongly hinted at and strongly suspected: that Naafiri is a Daarkin whose weapon has taken control of a pack of Shuriman desert dogs. There is no reason why a beast couldn’t also handle a Darkin; every other Darkin has a human host.
Both Milio and Naafiri have no set release dates as of yet, with Milio arriving first and the Darkin following. This would place the estimated release of Milio in March and the release of Naafiri in June.
