Did Riot just got their April Fools game mode leaked?
There have been numerous game modes throughout the existence of League of Legends. When League of Legends first launched, there were many more game modes than there are now, including the existing game mode such as Summoner’s Rift and ARAM.
Riot Games has also hinted at the arrival of a new game mode, a 2v2v2v2 arena-like. In this mode, players increase their strength as the game progresses by making purchases, leveling up, and obtaining unique Augments in between battle rounds. The Double Up option in Teamfight Tactics, which lets players join up with a friend for an unusual challenge, served as inspiration for the concept.
Although other game modes were not shown, the PBE appears to provide an early preview of a game mode that will be released on April Fools’ Day 2023. Here is what we currently know about the leaks.
As there was a loading page that displayed it, SkinSpotlights posted a screenshot of this PBE sneak look on Twitter. He claims that it is marked as ‘tomato’ on the packaging. The game option appears to be an April Fools’ Exclusive based on a follow-up by SkinSpotlights.
Other players, and users, have also voiced out their prediction, hoping that the leak was actually the 2v2v2v2 mode and Riot is at their finishing touch for the final products.
And if it’s an actual April Fools mode, other than the possibility of tossing snowballs at a scuttle crab or a motif involving minions and similar champions, not much is known. All we can say with certainty is that a new game mode, which would be fantastic for players this year before the 2v2v2v2 mode launches, may be revealed on April 1.
