League of Legends Introduces the First-Ever Exalted Skin: Arcane Fractured Jinx
Riot Games has unveiled a groundbreaking addition to League of Legends: the first-ever Exalted skin, Arcane Fractured Jinx. This new skin arrives as part of the ongoing celebration of Arcane, the Emmy-winning animated series set in the League of Legends universe.
The Legacy of Arcane
Released in 2021, Arcane has earned its place as one of the most celebrated video game adaptations in history. Garnering a flawless 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, the show captured the hearts of fans worldwide and even drew new players to League of Legends.
Set in the vibrant yet conflicted cities of Piltover and Zaun, Arcane showcases iconic champions such as Jinx, Vi, Jayce, Viktor, Caitlyn, Ekko, and Heimerdinger. Its compelling narrative and rich visuals left an indelible mark on the League of Legends community.
To promote the show during its debut season, Riot released a line of Arcane-inspired skins, many of which were free. These skins resonated well with players, building excitement for future Arcane content.
The Exalted Arcane Fractured Jinx Skin
Recently, Riot revealed the second wave of Arcane-themed skins, including the highly anticipated Arcane Fractured Jinx. This skin introduces a new rarity tier: Exalted, reserved for the most exclusive cosmetics in the game.
Arcane Fractured Jinx features three distinct variants, allowing players to switch between them during gameplay:
- Default Arcane Fractured Jinx
- Alternate Future Powder
- Shimmer Jinx
Each version comes with unique visuals and effects, bringing a fresh, immersive experience to the champion.
The Cost of Rarity
Acquiring the Arcane Fractured Jinx skin will be no easy feat. It will be available through Riot’s upcoming Sanctum gacha system, requiring a significant investment. Players may need to spend up to $250 to obtain this coveted skin. While this price may seem steep, it is not unprecedented—Riot previously released the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin at a staggering $500, and it sold successfully.
As long as there is demand for such premium cosmetics, Riot is unlikely to abandon this monetization model.
Release Date
The second wave of Arcane skins, including Arcane Fractured, is set to debut with patch 14.24, scheduled for release on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Fans of Arcane are sure to be drawn to this milestone skin, which bridges the worlds of League of Legends and its animated counterpart in dazzling style.
