A strange bug in League of Legends has been discovered that causes minions to turn against you by… targeting their own tower
Because League of Legends is a pretty old game, it occasionally has strange interactions. This often results in the appearance of some amusing bugs. One of the most recent issues, on the other hand, has many scratching their heads since it is more bothersome than anything else.
Bugs that make minions target their own tower
On the official League of Legends subreddit, a user uploaded a clip of their game in which the minions looked to have a consciousness of their own, utterly ruining the game.
The clip shows a big group of minions gathering toward their own team turret and attacking it. Despite the fact that the turret was not damaged, the entire situation may be deemed highly frustrating because the wave was particularly frozen, leaving you with no means to push the lane. Because of this problem, the minions did not move away from their own tower, instead remaining there and attacking it blindly.
According to one Reddit user, the minions attacking the turret might be due to code flaws in the game caused by one of Akshan’s abilities. Akshan’s E has an extremely unusual hook mechanic that allows him to hook into terrain and swing about for as long as he wishes.
This ability seemed to produce an untargetable helper for utility. This helper can survive for a long time, and if certain conditions are satisfied, the minions will be able to attack it, potentially resulting in the above bug.
So, while this glitch exists in the game, it is quite rare. There are several additional in-game bugs that have afflicted players. And, as the first patch of the new season approaches, we hope Riot will take note of any issues in the game for a better year, a better season.
