Early indications of a League of Legends cinematic world involving movies and TV shows?
The League of Legends universe is full of fantastic stories told by the game’s numerous champions. Riot Games may create a League of Legends movie, giving us a deeper look at one of Runeterra’s magnificent storylines.
For years, fans have wished for a League of Legends Cinematic Universe. Finally, the company created Arcane. Arcane, the official Netflix series, was a big success, and we are excited for the next season. Even though we got a sneak peak of what Riot Games can achieve with Arcane, we’d love to see them develop on an entire cinematic world.
There isn’t much information out there right now concerning whether or not an official LoL movie will be made. However, we have enough information to assume that Riot Games appears to be hiring not only Game Designers and Voice Actors, but also a Global Head of Live Action Film and a Global Head of Live-Action TV.
This clearly suggests that Riot Games is planning on not just additional series releases like Arcane, but also an entire League of Legends live action movies. As a result, we wouldn’t be shocked if Riot Games announced an official League of Legends film in the near future.
Fortunately for us, it appears that Riot Games has successfully hired people for these roles, since they are no longer listed on Riot Games’ job recruiting page.
There is more than enough material to generate storylines for the big screen with hundreds of champions and many additional side characters, each with their own backstory and personality. They can even adapt one of their numerous short tales from the League of Legends Universe page into a film or television program.
