Riot Games have recently been being complained about not doing what they said before by well-known players in the LoL community. Specifically, the autofill system is becoming worse and worse lately.
One of the most unpleasant things that every LoL players have to suffer from in ranked is that you choose 2 positions which are your forte, for example Toplane and Midlane, but then you are filled to another position which is your weakness, for example Support! Remember that every players have their own champion pool and they only can play well in a few positions and this thing is completely ordinary.
However, Riot Games created the “Autofill” system (as known as the system that fills players to positions they are not good at) in order to reduce in-queue time but the increase of the number of low-quality match is also an inevitable thing.
This problem seemed nothing at first, but when ranked became depending on the number of “autofill” players of each team, Riot Games started to be badly blamed by a lot of LoL players. So recently, Riot Games has been posting a lot of posts and videos about solutions to solve this problem by reducing the number of “autofill” player in one match. Besides, the number of those in both teams would be equalized.
But the fact seemed completely unlike what they said. Players still have had to face with the autofill problem when they are constantly filled to positions which was not chosen, while important postions like Jungler or Midlaner ablsolutely have no idea what they have to do and this leads to a nonsense defeat. Even Perkz – G2’s ADC, complained about this stuff on Twitter when there were 6 in his last 10 matches that have more than one “autofill” player!
Maybe it’s time for Riot to check how their system has been working when the number of “autofill” players between two teams is completely different and this will make the game as well as rankings not fair at all. Riot Games used to say that they would tolerate with long queue time in high-MMR matches to improve the quality of ranked. However, what they said has seemed nothing so far…
