League of Legends: If Backdoor in ARURF is Considered as A Dirty Move, Then What are We Playing for?

Recently when ARURF (All Random Ultra Rapid Fire) featured game mode is available for all the League players to enjoy, some don’t seem to enjoy the game as much. Especially when there is someone in the team or the enemy team tries to backdoor and win the game.

Ultra Rapid Fire (U.R.F.) is a Featured Game Mode that was first introduced for April Fools’ Day that grants all players 80% cdr and removes ability costs.

The mode has since been succeeded by All Random Ultra Rapid Fire (A.R.U.R.F.), which follows the same gameplay but now utilizes the All Random draft type instead of Blind with Bans.

This Game-mode brings a lot of joy to the players, however, it also gives some people a headache. Currently, there are two kinds of URF players, one plays for fun, the other plays to win.

Players who play URF for Fun

Basically, most of the League of Legends players who would love to try or play this featured game-mode just for fun!

That said, they would take their chance to spam all the abilities they wish, make a crazy solo highlight, or would just basically enjoy the game-mode and themselves.

Players who play URF to win only

As mentioned, there are people who chose this game-mode, just to play normally like a normal blind pick. That means they don’t want to fight, also don’t want to spam their abilities to fight, but to push the lane, get turrets and win the game as soon as possible.

It is understandable that most of us will get bored as the game gets longer. But, imagine having no Nexus Turret at 9:00, some of the players are not even level 8 yet!

Let’s discuss this for a bit

Some people who play for fun say that Backdoor and trying hard to win is a “dirty move,” but, who wants to lose a game?

We all know that winning the match is the goal of this game. If you made a great backdoor, defeated the enemy team completely, or your team made an impossible comeback, receiving the victory is the best way to end a match.

Talking about the fun when playing URF, many players think this is a great game-mode to show off their skills, to outplay the opponents, and to have fun with your friends.

However, for many others, their joy is simply a sense of victory, the dramatic comebacks, or the epic backdoors.

Everyone has their point of view, imposing others to play the game like how you want is indeed a difficult point to agree.

What is your opinion?

Do you think people should really push the lane or try so hard to backdoor to win in ARURF?
