In recent times, Riot has been abusing healing abililty but their efforts to counter them seem to be trivial.
Healing ability is becoming not under control when there are too many champions, items and runes can provide you with this stuff. And this ability is now so OP that everyone just tries to kill the enemies as fast as possible because if they don’t do it, their targets’ HP bars will become fully-charged like nothing just happened.
And the solution which is said to be the best one is to add more items that can inflict Grievous Wounds. At present, League of Lengends has only two items which can do it: Executioner’s Calling/Mortal Reminder and Morellonomicon. And this number is much fewer than the number of items and runes that provide healing ability.
Additionally, Morellonomicon – the only AP item that can inflict Grievous Wounds – costs 3000 golds and is usually bought after the main item but at that time, those healing champions has successfully taken the match and the mages or AP assassins can’t do nothing to stop them.
Similar to that is Executioner’s Calling , the item that is not usually bought at the early game as the AD assassins need ArP items to kill their targets more easier, while the ADCs need CrC or damage-on-hit items to strengthen their auto-attacks. This makes Executioner’s Calling /Mortal Reminder become not effective anymore as you will get nowhere if you buy them when the enemy healing champions has become too strong and cannot be countered.
All in all, what Riot needs to do immediately is adding more items that can inflict Grievous Wounds into the game as soon as possible as well as before the healing ability becomes too OP and crashes your keyboard. There is a very nice idea that to add this effcect into Haunting Guise and Oblivion Orb because these are items that you can buy early so as to upgrade them into Rod of Ages or Morellonomicon then and this will heable AP champions to counter the healing ability much sooner. And about AD items, Youmuu’s Ghostblade or Duskblade of Darktharr are some good choices that are worth considering. Have you ever wondered that why the Youmuu’s Ghostblade’s passive is different from the Duskblade of Darktharr’s one although they are both combined from Serrated Dirk and Caulfield’s Warhammer?
