As the 2025 season approaches, Riot Games has unveiled a host of changes coming to League of Legends, including a complete visual update to Summoner Spell icons.
Riot has confirmed that the 2025 season will feature a Noxus-themed battle pass, which replaces the current event pass system. The new battle pass will offer Noxus-inspired rewards, including skins, orbs, emotes, and more. Alongside this, players will also experience a Noxus-themed Summoner’s Rift, transforming the battlefield into a reflection of the brutal Noxian empire.
The season isn’t just about theme—Riot is introducing major gameplay changes as well.
- A brand-new epic monster named Atakhan will debut, bringing new challenges and strategies to the Rift.
- A boots rework is on the horizon, shaking up movement item builds.
- Teleport is getting another rework. This time, Riot is revisiting its older mechanics, allowing players to teleport to structures, minions, and wards right from the start of the game. Once Unleashed Teleport becomes available, it will grant faster channel times and a bonus movement speed buff after landing.
Summoner Spell Icons: A Fresh Look
The most visually striking update of all is the Summoner Spell icon overhaul. Riot has modernized almost every spell icon in the game.
While the new icons stay true to their original designs and familiar aesthetics, they have been polished and refined to fit League of Legends’ evolving art style. Players can expect these updates to feel cleaner, sharper, and more modern.
These revamped spell icons are currently live on the PBE, where players can preview them before the official launch.
