Patch 14.24, the final update of the year for League of Legends, is just around the corner, bringing with it a host of exciting changes. As Season 14 concludes, this patch marks the official transition to the next chapter. Before diving into Season 15, let’s explore the significant updates in this massive final patch.
One of the standout highlights is Viktor’s long-awaited Visual and Gameplay Update (VGU). This overhaul includes an updated model, new voice lines, reworked abilities, and his first-ever Legendary skin. Additionally, Master Yi, Rell, and Warwick are receiving much-needed buffs, while adjustments are being made to tank itemization.

Champion Buffs
Master Yi
Q – Alpha Strike
- Critical strike bonus damage AD ratio increased to (28.125% + IE 15%) AD from (17.5% + IE 7%) AD.
- Subsequent hits critical strike bonus damage AD ratio increased to (7.03125% + IE 3.75%) AD from (4.375% + IE 1.75%) AD.
Rell
Base Stats
- Base health increased to 640 from 610.
Passive – Break the Mold
- Resistance steal per stack increased to 3% from 2%.
- Minimum resistance steal reduced to 1. − 3 (based on level) from 1 − 2 (based on level). 5
W1 – Ferromancy: Crash Down
- Base shield increased to 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 from 15 / 40 / 65 / 90 / 115.
- Shield health ratio increased to 13% maximum health from 12%.
Champion Adjustments
The Viktor VGU is finally arriving in this patch, with new Visuals, Voiceover, and some changes to his abilities.
Cassiopeia
Passive – Serpentine Grace
- New Effect: Now grants an additional 2 − 36 (based on level) bonus movement speed if her team gets Blessing of Noxus.
Viktor – Visual & Gameplay Update
- Updated Ability icons.
- Complete visual update across all skins.
- Updated lore.
- New voice-over.
- Updated sound effects.
- Viktor’s title changed to The Herald of the Arcane from The Machine Herald.
Passive – Glorious Evolution
- Removed: Arcane Storm is no longer automatically upgraded to Augment: Perfect Storm once all of his basic abilities have been augmented.
- Arcane Storm cannot be augmented until all of his basic abilities have been augmented.
Q – Siphon Power
- Base shield increased to 40 − 115 (based on level) from 27 − 105 (based on level).
- Empowered base shield increased to 64 − 184 (based on level) from 43. − 168 (based on level). 2
W – Gravity Field
- Slow strength increased to 33 / 36 / 39 / 42 / 45% from 30 / 34 / 38 / 42 / 45%.
- Stack interval rate was reduced to 0.25 seconds from 0.5 seconds.
- Maximum stacks increased to 6 from 3.
- Stacks are now consumed upon the sixth stack.
- Removed: Enemies no longer become immune to the slow after having their stacks consumed.
E – Hextech Ray
- Renamed to Hextech Ray from Death Ray.
R – Arcane Storm
- Renamed to Arcane Storm from Chaos Storm.
Augment: Perfect Storm
- New Effect: Singularity now increases in radius by 40% and extends its duration by 3 seconds whenever an enemy champion is taken down after having been damaged by the ability, capped at 6 takedowns.
Warwick
Base Stats
- Base attack damage was reduced to 63 from 65.
Q – Jaws of the Beast
- The target range increased to 365 from 350.
W – Blood Hunt
- Passive attack speed duration increased to 2.5 seconds from 1.
- New Effect: Now displays duration on the status bar.
Patch 14.24 Item Changes
A bunch of new items are being added to the game including upgrades to all Tier 2 boots. Additionally, a new Magic Penetration item is being added to the game targeting DPS mages like Cassiopeia.
Item Adjustments
Warmog’s Armor
- Recipe: Giant’s Belt + Giant’s Belt + Crystalline Bracer + 700 = 3300.
- Stats: 1000 health, 100% base health regeneration.
- Unique Passive – Warmog’s Heart: This passive activates if you have at least 2000 bonus health. Regenerate「 1.5% maximum health every 0.5 seconds 」if damage has not been taken in the last 8 seconds (4 seconds for damage from non-champions).
- Unique Passive – Warmog’s Vitality: Gain bonus health equal to 12% bonus health from items.
New Items
Aegis of the Legion (Re-added)
- Total cost reduced to 1100 from 1200.
- Combine cost was reduced to 400 from 500.
- Now builds into Unending Despair.
Armored Advance
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Plated Steelcaps + 750 = 1950.
- Stats: 35 armor, 50 movement speed.
- Unique Passive – Plating: Reduces incoming damage from all basic attacks by 12% (excluding turret attacks).
- Unique Passive – Noxian Endurance: Taking physical damage from champions grants you a shield that absorbs 15 − 150 (based on level) (+ 5% maximum health) physical damage for 4 seconds (12-second cooldown).
Bloodletter’s Curse
- Recipe: Haunting Guise + Fiendish Codex + 900 = 3050.
- Stats: 55 ability power, 350 health, 10 ability haste
- Unique Passive – Surge: Dealing magic damage to an enemy champion with abilities or basic attacks grants you a stack for 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Each stack grants you 5% magic penetration, up to 30% at 6 stacks. Damaging basic attacks and spells can only apply a stack once every 0.3 seconds per cast.
- Limited to 1 Bloodletter’s Curse.
Chainlaced Crushers
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Mercury’s Treads + 750 = 2050.
- Stats: 30 magic resistance, 50 movement speed, 30% tenacity.
- Unique Passive – Noxian Persistence: Taking magic damage from champions grants you a shield that absorbs 15 − 150 (based on level) (+ 5% maximum health) magic damage for 4 seconds (12-second cooldown).
Crimson Lucidity
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Ionian Boots of Lucidity + 750 = 1650.
- Stats: 25 ability haste, 50 movement speed.
- Unique Passive – Ionian Insight: Gain 10 summoner spell haste.
- Unique Passive – Noxian Haste: Healing, shielding, or buffing an ally, damaging abilities against champions, and using summoner spells grants you ( 10% / 8%) bonus movement speed for 4 seconds. Damaging basic attacks and spells can only trigger this once per cast.
Forever Forward
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Synchronized Souls + 750 = 1650.
- Stats: 55 movement speed.
- Unique Passive – Voidborn: Gain Empowered Recall.
- Unique Passive – Noxian Synchrony: Gain 45 (+ 10% bonus movement speed) bonus movement speed while out-of-combat.
Gunmetal Graves
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Berserker’s Greaves + 750 = 1750.
- Stats: 40% attack speed, 50 movement speed.
- Unique Passive – Noxian Gait: Basic attacks on-hit against champions grant you ( 15% / 10%) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds.
Spellslinger’s Shoes
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Sorcerer’s Shoes + 750 = 1850.
- Stats: 19 magic penetration, 10% magic penetration, 50 movement speed.
Swiftmarch
- Tier 3 Boots.
- Requirements: Requires Blessing of Noxus and two legendary items.
- Recipe: Boots of Swiftness + 750 = 50.
- Stats: 75 movement speed.
- Unique Passive – Fleetfooted: Gain 25% slow resistance.
- Unique Passive – Noxian Fervor: Gain 5% bonus total movement speed.
Unending Despair
- New Recipe: Aegis of the Legion + Giant’s Belt + 800 = 2800.
- Old Recipe: Chain Vest + Kindlegem + Ruby Crystal + 800 = 2800.
- Health increased to 400 from 350.
- Armor reduced to 25 from 60.
- Magic resistance increased to 25 from 0.
- Anguish cooldown reduced to 4 seconds from 5.
- Anguish base damage was reduced to 8 − 15 (based on level) from 30 − 50 (based on level).
Patch 14.24 System Changes
Four new Runes are being added to the game and the Summoner Spell Teleport is getting a rework.
Axiom Arcanist (New Rune)
- Replaces Nullifying Orb.
- Passive: Increase your ultimate’s damage, healing, and shielding. Refund a percentage of its cooldown on champion takedowns.
Conqueror
- Damage over time effect cooldown reduced to 4 seconds from 5.
Deep Ward (New Rune)
- Replaces Eyeball Collection.
- Passive: Wards placed in the enemy jungle are considered Deep. They are granted 1 bonus health and last 30 − 45 (based on average champion level) seconds longer, increased to 30 − 120 (based on average champion level) seconds for Totem Wards.
- At level 11, wards placed in the river will also be considered Deep.
- Control Wards cannot be considered Deep.
Grisly Mementos (New Rune)
- Replaces Ghost Poro.
- Passive: Champion takedowns permanently grant 4 trinket haste per stack, up to 100 at 25 stacks.
Sixth Sense (New Rune)
- Replaces Zombie Ward.
- Passive: Now automatically tracks un-tracked nearby wards (( 300 / 360) second cooldown).
- At level 11, additionally reveals nearby wards for 10 seconds.
Teleport
- Removed: No longer blinks your champion to the target after the channel.
- New Effect: Now causes your champion to dash to the target over 5 seconds, during which you are untargetable and unable to act.
- Unleashed Teleport dash time is 4 seconds.
- New Effect: Can now target ally minions or wards.
- Cooldown was reduced to 300 seconds from 360.
- Unleashed Teleport cooldown reduced to 300 − 240 (based on level) from 330 − 240 (based on level).
- Channel duration reduced to 3 seconds from 4.
