It’s been years since Summoner’s Rift has undergone a transformation of this scale. LoL Patch 15.1 Highlights
Map Overhaul
The Season of Noxus introduces a dynamic new look and functionality to Summoner’s Rift. From visual updates to structural changes, this makeover ensures a battle experience that reflects the indomitable spirit of Noxus.
Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin
A colossal new jungle monster, Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin, makes his debut in patch 15.1. His arrival brings high-stakes gameplay and unique rewards:
- Spawn Conditions: Atakhan appears at the 20-minute mark on the side of the map with the most kills or deaths by 14 minutes. If no significant kill data is available, he spawns on the side with the most damage dealt.
- Dynamic Arena: Upon spawning, Atakhan creates an arena with new terrain, adding tactical depth to his encounter.
- Rewards: Slaying Atakhan grants permanent team-wide buffs through Blood Roses as well as XP. Blood Roses also spawn over time, appearing on the corpses of champions who die throughout the game.
- Variants: Atakhan has two distinct forms, each featuring unique movesets and buffs, adding variety and strategy to his battles.
Note: Atakhan spawns only once per game, but Blood Roses continue to appear, keeping the battlefield dynamic.
