One small change could help the League emote system as a whole
The simplest and most efficient ways for players to convey their emotions in League of Legends is through an emote. Numerous emotes are available from Riot Games that express happy, sad, and rage feelings in the game. However, as a result of the increased volume, it is now challenging for players to locate appropriate emotes in the stockpile.
Yesterday, a League player sought for help on League of Legends Reddit by posting this issue.
“The list of emotes is growing more and more each day.”
“Why doesn’t the emotes tab have a search function implemented? Pretty much every other thing does. Wards have a search function and I only got like 8 ward skins.”
“Talking about search function for emotes in COLLECTIONS tab btw”
Another user responded by pointing out that emotes have “stupid names,” making it more difficult to locate a particular one. Others requested that Riot give emotes names or rename them to reflect the champion, skin, or occasion they are linked to.
Some players offered a much more straightforward answer by adding it to their preferred categories and making numerous wheels.
“Emotes need pages the same as rune pages where u can pick from your customized ones individually for every game u play.”
“I have every goddamn emote and I don’t even change them anymore because I hate having to look through all of them to find the one I’m thinking of,”
While many League players have made accumulating emotes a pastime, the absence of sorting and searching options has made picking new emotes a laborious process.
Because adjustments will need to be made to the game’s clients, some players think Riot hasn’t made this problem any simpler.
Riot needs to address this issue immediately because there are so many easy remedies. Since there is already a search feature for the wards page, adding one to the emotes tab should not be too difficult.
