League of Legends new Reworked Battle Pass system revealed

The Battle Pass system in League of Legends is reportedly undergoing a significant revamp.

Over the past few years, Battle Pass systems have become a staple feature in many games, particularly in online multiplayer titles. They serve as a popular monetization strategy, offering players cosmetic rewards and encouraging them to engage more with the game.

In the case of League of Legends, while it does have a Pass system, it has often been viewed as somewhat lackluster, especially when compared to more comprehensive systems found in games like Fortnite.

The League of Legends Battle Pass is rather basic, offering rewards like Emotes, Icons, and Tokens in its free version. Unfortunately, the paid version doesn’t add much value either, simply providing a few additional Tokens and Skin Shards on top of the free rewards. This has led to disappointment among many players who feel that the Pass lacks substance and fails to justify the investment.

However, things seem to be changing as Riot Games is planning to make major improvements to the Battle Pass system starting in 2025. Leaks have surfaced, hinting at a significant overhaul.

Notably, SkinSpotlights, a well-known YouTuber in the League community, discovered files in the PBE suggesting that Riot is preparing to introduce an updated Battle Pass system.

Speculation is growing that Riot will implement a Seasonal or Split-based Battle Pass in 2025. This new approach would offer players a fresh pass for each season or split, which could bring more consistent and engaging content throughout the year.

Some believe the new pass may be similar to the Hall of Legends pass, which was introduced a few months ago. While the Hall of Legends pass isn’t perfect, it’s still seen as an improvement over the current system.

Though specific details about the reworked Battle Pass remain scarce, it’s clear that Riot intends to enhance the experience. Players are eagerly awaiting more information, and it seems like they won’t have to wait much longer to see the changes Riot has in store for the Battle Pass.
