Riot Games is likely to host LoL’s World Cup in the future – according to the tweet of Tyler “FionnOnFire” Erzberger of ESPN Esports.
Last week, John Needam, the head of Riot’s global esports group, also mentioned LoL’s World Cup tournament in a press conference ahead of the 2019 Worlds Finals.
Needam says that is a frequently-discussed question among employees and Riot is also considering it because the national teams attract a large number of fans.
Riot’s representative continued, “Hopefully, we will inform you soon” regarding the League of Legends World Cup.
