Two days before the final match of Worlds 2021 took place, DWG KIA and EDward Gaming had a rather exciting press conference. Notably in the match prediction section, members of both teams are confident of a perfect victory for themselves with a score of 3-0.
Both DK and EDG have just gone through extremely stressful semifinals with 5 games, so this is why they don’t want it to happen again.
“We just went through an intense semi-final with 5 games, and it was really an extremly stressful experience. So me and my teammates will win 3-0 so we can go home soon.” Showmaker said.
Coach kKoma is a bit more modest with the assumption that DK will win 3-1. He thinks that the quality of DK’s players and staffs is better, so this is a great advantage. On the opposite side, EDG’s Meiko Support is also very confident with a similar answer to Showmaker’s:
“We just went through two BO5s with 5 games in a row, so this match will be 3-0 for early leaving. Of course the victory is in our favor.”
With a tournament full of surprises and many exciting matches like this Worlds 2021, many people would not expect the scenario of the final to take place in just 3 games. Therefore, with the high determination of the members of the two teams, a BO5 pair with 5 matches is what the audience expected to happen.
