Many skin lines are expected to arrive after the 2023 mid-season, and it seems Soul Fighters will be the next one.
Riot hosts a large in-game event every summer that includes a large number of skins, exciting in-client events, and other rewards. Riot has promised a brand-new game mode as well as new skin lines for 2023, which is similar to previous years.
Some information about League of Legends’ major Summer 2023 event skin line has just surfaced online. So, what champions will receive new skins, and how will they relate to the impending deathmatch game mode that Riot will release in conjunction with the event?
New Soul Fighters skin line leaked
BigBadBear, a well-known League of Legends leaker, recently posted a video in which he explained the idea of the forthcoming skin line, which will be launched during the summer event later this year.
With Faerie Court and Inkshadow, we’ve already had two brand-new skin lines this year, and a third is on the way.
BigBadBear announced the new skin line will be named ‘Soul Fighters,’ and even showed concept images of Yasuo and Lux. This is a “battle-themed” skin line, according to a description of the Soul Fighters skins, which would match nicely with the concept of the planned deathmatch game mode.
“A yearly battle is held to determine the greatest fighter across the land. This “Tournament of Souls” sees competitors of all types – each with their own Soul Power – brawl in fierce one-on-one skirmishes. The top prize is greater than any trophy: a shard of the Soul Gem, said to grant a single wish to those who possess it”
According to the skin text, there is a “Tournament of Souls” in which players compete with their own Soul Power for the final prize of the Soul Gem, which may grant any desire.
There have been no leaks revealing the champions for the Soul Fighters skin line, but fans have already speculated on who may receive skins. There should be roughly ten skins issued, most likely including a legendary and a prestige skin.
Remember that these are still merely leaks, so take this information with a grain of salt. There is no official release date for Soul Fighters yet, however, leakers anticipate that they will be available around LoL Patch 13.13. This implies they’ll be available on the PBE server on June 13, 2023.
