League of Legends: Wild Rift patch 2.2 preview: Riot unveiled big updates including a new game mode and exclusive skins

Wild Rift patch 2.2 is considered the biggest update since its launching which brings many notable changes and new contents into the game.

The upcoming patch 2.2 will bring five new champions to join the Wild Rift roster including Galio, Rammus, Rengar, Kha’zix and Renekton. With the addition of these new bruiser and assassins champions, Wild Rift players will now have more choices for their favorite roles as well as open up more new gameplay.

Kha’zix and Rengar are expected to launch next month with the Master of the Hunt event. The event will be a legendary confrontation between Runeterra’s two most dangerous predators. Riot Games will also add a new gameplay system dedicated to this event.

Wild Rift’s item system is expected for sort of changes in the upcoming patch as well. Three tank items contain Frozen Heart, Force of Nature and Sunfire Aegis will be added to closely match with the PC version. Sapphire Crystal also receives a new feature as the Mana Charge passive that can stack earlier and evolve Tear of the Goddess faster.

Notably, patch 2.2 is brought to the test a new feature which is Position Preference. This feature allows players to arrange the order of the positions as their favor and the matchmaker system will assign you one of your preferred roles in the lobby. If you do not want to pick by yourself, the system will automatically rank your position based on the match history.

In addition to the new content mentioned above, patch 2.2 also brings a series of new skins, Wild Pass features and ARAM game modes. Wild Rift patch 2.2 is scheduled to launch in early April 2021.
