Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, League gameplay design director, has outlined tentative changes to hit the League patch 11.11.
The preview patch show seven different items are set to be buffed, with noticeable changes coming to Wardstone, Staff of Flowing Water, and Serpent’s Fang.
Wardstone will receive the most significant change in patch 11.11. The item is scheduled for a small rework that should increase the quality of life for support players. First and foremost, Stirring Wardstone is being removed completely, while Watchful Wardstone will automatically upgrade into a Vigilant Wardstone once support players reach level 13 and complete their support quest in a given game. The item is also set to gain additional buffs including HP bonus, attack damage, ability power and ability haste.
Staff of Flowing Water is another support item that will receive buffs in patch 11.11 since its major adjustments in patch 11.8. The movement speed bonus of this item was eliminated a few patches earlier. Given that many enchanter support players have recently preferred Ardent Censer, a buff to the item should be considered for patch 11.11.
In terms of other shield-focused items, Serpent’s Fang is set to receive a throughput buff when built on ranged champions. Currently, the item reduces enemy shield power by 50% when built on a melee champion but only 25% as for a ranged champion. Players should expect ranged champions to have a greater impact when building Serpent’s Fang in Patch 11.11.
According to the official League patch schedule, patch 11.11 is set to hit the live servers next Wednesday, May 26.
