Riot is providing durability and crowd control improvements against all matchups for Annie in League of Legends Season 13
Annie is a straightforward mid laner, but her simplification has harmed her in various ways in League of Legends Season 13. With League’s ever-changing meta, classic and basic champions will require significant enhancements to help them stand out from the roster.
Riot Ray Yonggi, Riot Games’ gameplay analyst, revealed details on the substantial changes coming to Annie in Patch 13.2. He stated in the post that Annie “has been struggling to convert wins, even when matched against primarily melee mid laners she should be advantaged into,” which has resulted in most of her abilities being tuned.
Annie buffs in Patch 13.2
Pyromania (P)
- Stun is now primed on game start and respawn
Incinerate (W)
- Mana cost: 90-110 >>> 70-110
Molten Shield (E)
- Shield potency buff (Numbers not determined yet)
- Now can only reflect damage once per target, per shield
- Tibbers duplicated shield counts as a new shield
- Damage reflect: 20-60 (+20%AP) >>> 30-90 (+40%AP)
- Damage is reflected from all damage, not just auto attacks
Summon: Tibbers! (R)
- Tibbers HP: 1300-3100 (+0%AP) >>> 1300-3100 (+75%AP)
- Tibbers Resists: 30-90 (+0%AP) >>> 30-90 (+5%AP)
Annie will now begin with her passive completely stacked, allowing her to stun the next opponents that she strikes with her abilities. Her passive will also reach full stacks when she respawns, allowing her to return to lane faster after dying.
Her E, Molten Shield, will also be given a little redesign. Its shield efficacy will be improved, and it will now reflect all damage rather than simply auto attacks. The reflect will also be greatly boosted, however it will only proc once per target and shield.
Finally, her ultimate, in which she summons Tibbers, will now provide Tibbers extra HP and resistances dependent on her AP. Using Molten Shield when Tibbers is on will also cause the damage reflect to trigger twice.
Although not much is known about League’s Patch 13.2, revelations made earlier today on the PBE suggest that the Ahri ASU and the Aurelion Sol CGU may also be released alongside this patch. The Annie buffs will be included in League of Legends patch 13.2, which is scheduled to be released on live League servers on January 24.
