Miss Fortune’s planned nerfs in League of Legends Patch 12.21 may make one of her most hated strategies viable again
Miss Fortune has received some big improvements on League of Legends’ PBE, and it appears that Riot Games is significantly buffing her AP scaling. While these modifications have been marketed as nerfs, the term is a little unclear.
This is because the developers are attempting to weaken her crit/lethality builds while still buffing her AP damage. Rather than discarding her AD build off, the devs are merely driving people onto AP builds.
Miss Fortune nerfs in Patch 12.21
- E damage AP ratio increased from 100% to 120%
- E base slow reduced from 50% to 40%
- E slow AP ratio increased from 4% per 100 AP to 6% per 100 AP
- R AP ratio per wave increased from 20% to 25%
Fans are obviously dissatisfied with these adjustments coming in patch 12.21, as many believe that the AP will make her even more broken.
These statistics indicate that the devs are greatly improving the AP scaling for her E and R skills. Although her E slow has been reduced, the concern is that this reduction is insignificant in the long term.
This was mostly due to the fact that the slow wasn’t an issue in the first place, and it was the damage she caused with her E that was significant. Looking at these changes, her E is getting a substantial AP scaling bump, which implies that squishy champions facing Miss Fortune in the lane will be harassed even more.
In any event, because these modifications are just in the PBE, the complete impact is difficult to estimate right now. Depending on how players react to her gameplay in the PBE, the devs may include more adjustments next week.
In any case, these modifications might put her into the support role for Miss Fortune, as she can become a powerful lane partner capable of harassing opponents and pushing them out of the lane.
League of Legends patch 12.21 is expected to arrive on the live servers on November 2, along with these obnoxious nerfs to Miss Fortune.
