Teleport could undergo a huge transformation in the upcoming season
One of the most popular summoner’s spells in the game, Teleport, has become a stable spell and has played a huge role in many combats that determine the result of the game, especially when it comes to Top and Mid players.
Recently, Riot has been noticed the overpowered of the spell, so perhaps putting some heavily nerfs on it might reduce its popularity. The nerf will limit the usage of TP to only allied structure for the first 14 minutes of the game.
“After channeling for 4 seconds, teleports your champion to target allied structure.”
“Upgrades to Unleashed Teleport at 14 minutes.”
“Unleashed Teleport” will be the standard version of TP that Summoner’s Rift players are used to, and it may presently be used on ally structures, minions, wards, traps, and Zac’s and Anivia’s passive.
With these new changes, it will prevent champions, particularly top laners and mid laners from punishing the bot lane in the early game, providing bot lane players an easier laning phase. It also drastically reduces the pace of the game, especially with many non-mobile champions. As a result, the nerf may force players to farm for the first 14 minutes and not roam (due to the experience that will be lost in their lane), leaving little “clown-fiesta”.
If the nerf is set to be implemented in the 2022 preseason, it might have a long-term influence on the meta.
